The WPTL would really appreciate some in depth analysis across ALL divisions.
Who will move up?
Who will go down?

Also, sources tell me there have been some odd lineups in the last couple of weeks- do the rules allow an individual to play at #2 in a D1 match and at #5 for a D2 team (not from the same club) on the same night? If it's not explicitly prohibited by the rules (and it should be) it's unethical at the very least...

Not so fast, laddie. Predicting the paddle results is like solving my riddle, but I'll give it a shot. Here's my in-depth blow by blow of who's going where and why for the Tuesday night divisions - I'll leave the Wednesday predictions to my brother Michael:
D1: So easy even I can figure it out - LYC (and their bottomless kegs) move back to D2 for the second session.
D2: This is where it gets interesting. First, on the upside: Fox Meadow could have virtually clinched a move back to D1 with a dominating performance against Siwanoy, but since they only managed a 3-2 victory the outcome is still very much in doubt. If FM can garner 6 wins in their remaining 8 matches, 3 vs. SV (assuming of course these haven't already taken place in a Score-gate type scandal) and 5 vs. Wykagyl, they'd be virtually assured of moving up since it's highly unlikely BV2 can sweep Pelham. If FM falters and only goes 5-3 look for Pelham to move up by taking 4 from the home of PCC - of course that may be tough to do if Pelham has their full team available. Again, odds are some teams in D2-D4 will need pre-match introductions to their teammates, so all bets are off once the ringers enter the fray.
On the downside, Siwanoy may need some help from BV3 against the Sleepy Hollow All Stars in order to stay up, and ironically their fate could ultimately be determined by their 1 remaining match against BV3 if Sleepy can take a few points tomorrow. Bottom line - if Siwanoy can take 3 points that should be enough to stay up. Sleepy only has a tiebreaker advantage over Scarsdale Village, but the Village People should be safe since they have 11 individual matches remaining.
D3: It's a 2 way battle between NYAC2 and Scarsdale Golf for the right to move up to D2, and the forecast here is that NYAC2 will prevail in their HTH battle this week, especially since they've been known to gather all hands on deck (as in several D1 players) when needed. There are several teams in danger of moving down, but the prediction here is that Larchmont Shore will slide down to D4.
D4: Pelham2 and White Plains are in contention for first, and Pelham should prevail by edging WP 3-2 and taking care of NYAC3 in a make-up match. Again there are a cluster of teams that could move down, but the thinking here (and yes, Leon can think) is that LYC3 will bring joy to Wednesday nights by moving down to D5 for the next session.

U seem to be back in the form of when you took down The Greatest. This is good material. Lets hear what you have to say about the bottom feeders in D5-7, disregard 8.

My brother Leon acksed me to help out with Division 5-7 so here we go:
D5: Century has already clinched the move up to D4 so that one's a no-brainer (my favorite kind by the way). And it looks like not even Superman can save Metropolis from going down to D6 in January.
D6: The scoreboards for D6-D8 have more holes in them than my brother Leon's smile, but I'll do my best with the limited info at my disposal. In D6 Coveleigh has the Jefferson move all wrapped up and will be in D5 come January. The loser of the Beach Point 2 and FM3 will be going down - somehow I don't think the Foxes will be the ones to drop.
D7/D8: Manursing 2 has the inside track to stay up and Pelham 4 looks they'll have the ignominy (I looked that one up - hope Leon is proud of me) of going to Siberia, aka D8, while Scarsdale Golf 3 will skyrocket up to D7.
