Our two platform tennis courts used to be surrounded by Arborvitae bushes that prevented the sun from assisting our heaters in melting the ice on the courts, and created considerable debris on the courts in the fall.  The bushes were cut down, eliminating those concerns, but the wind is now more of a problem than it used to be.  Any thoughts about the pros and cons of having bushes/trees around courts?

Those kinds of replies are the reason why some of us hesitate to post anything on these sites.  Just one more example of how inconsiderate and mean people can be, especially when hiding behind the bushes and "screens."

Has anyone ever heard of a Paddle Camp? like a kids summer camp but for paddle enthusiasts to go away and play...
I am in NY and thought it would be fun.
There used to be a golf / paddle tournament in Niagara Falls some years back, now that would be a great weekend.
If you have heard of something like that, please reply.

You'll be thankful to let old Sol help with the melting of snow and ice on the court.  Aside from increasing the wind chill factor, the wind, by itself has little effect on the heavy platform ball.
