Cincy Players Dominate in Pittsburgh
On a weekend that saw the Bengals take it to the Steelers in their own backyard, just up the road in Fox Chapel two Cincinnati teams were storming their way through the West Penn Open. The team of Heather Hairston and Lynn Schneebeck rolled through the Women's Open without losing a set. In a traditionally strong and deep tournament, Heather and Lynn defeated the #2 seed (Dayton's own Nancy Budde and Nathalie Lemieux) and the #1 seed (Fischer/Guyaux) during their run to the title. In
addition, Nancy and her partner won the match for third
place. Congratulations to the women from Southwestern Ohio!
In the Men's Open, Dan Mott and Eric Toth enjoyed similar success by not losing a set until the finals. Their
path to the championship was difficult as well as they
had to defeat McMaster/Guyaux in the quarters, Englesberg/Kelly
in the semi's and Hallett/Katz in the finals. All 3 of these teams are currently ranked in the top 20 in the country. A great weekend for Cincy paddle!

Junior
Paddle Clinic at Glendale
The first Friday
Junior Paddle and Pizza was a success. The kids played
lots of paddle and, from what we have heard, had a great time. In
fact, there were lots of kids who clearly did not want to leave
and all wanted to know when the next clinic was. Luckily,
we had a lot of member support which made it possible for us
to accommodate all 35 kids who participated. details
