TO
PADDLE TENNIS ENTHUSIASTS:
The Greater Cleveland Platform Tennis Association (GCPTA)
is pleased to have been selected to organize the 2004 American
Platform Tennis Association’s National Championships
to be held in Cleveland, Ohio in March, 2004! This will mark
the first time the competition will return to the mid-west
since Cleveland last hosted the event in 1993. The GCPTA sought
to hold this tournament here, not only because we wanted Clevelanders
to see the world’s best players exhibiting their skills,
but also because we hope that we can show our visitors the
vitality of Cleveland, its people, and its first class facilities.
We hope
you’ll agree to get involved in the community in which
you live and/or do business by supporting our effort. The
information herein will describe the event in more detail
and outline available sponsorships. Of course, with an event
of this magnitude, we’re also looking for volunteers
to help run the event. Please contact Maureen Hole at (216)
283-5197 or Brian McCreary at (440) 343- 3063 if you are interested
in volunteering.
A total
of four tournaments will be played, including a Men’s
and Women’s National Championship and Men’s and
Women’s Presidents Cup. The matches will involve more
than 300 contestants from throughout the United States and
Canada.
We hope
you share our enthusiasm and choose to be a part of these
championships as a sponsor, volunteer, player, host or spectator.
Cheers,
TheGCPTATournament Committee |
