The match of the tournament was the other semi final pairing in which Heath and Porter saved three match points in a second set tie breaker. After being behind for most of the early going, they came back to post an exciting 4-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-1 win over Rob Pierce and Bruce Mahler. A full draw of sixteen teams also meant there were some good matchups in the other backdraws. The father-son duo of Walter and Bo Beatty took the consolation championship with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Barclay Douglas and Evan Smith. The quarter reprieve went to Rob Caserta and John Cunningham as they recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win over Gary MacElhiney and Mike Fried. Ed Riley and Brad Kronauer took the consolation reprieve with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Rob Coster and Peter Haff. Congratulations to all!
