This October 19th, the Chicago platform tennis community is sponsoring a Platform Tennis Junior Jamboree at 7 area clubs. Juniors from throughout the area are invited to come and learn basic skills, history and evolution of the game, and be introduced to the best outdoor winter activity going.
The event is open to any junior age 7-18 and will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The range of participating clubs covers the entire Chicago land area and kids are encouraged to pick a location most convenient to them. Platform tennis activities will be supervised by local P.P.T.A. pros and supported by a large group of volunteers. Prizes, favors, food, drinks, and raffle awards will be given out at all sites. There is no charge for any part of the event due to the generous sponsorship of the A.P.T.A., C.P.T.T.C., and the P.P.T.A.
The purpose of the Jamboree is to engender a love of the sport and to expose the next generation of players to the game. Please see the attached flyer for specific details and contact/sign up information.
