Although the cold weather forced most spectators indoors, the competition heated up in the afternoon during the NJ Men's State Championships. Mike O'Donnell and Steve Griggs (pictured) braved the cold to become the inaugural winners of the Men's 120+ (combined) division, beating top seeds Scott Estes and Lloyd Ucko 6-4, 1-6, 6-4. Cold weather, injuries, illness and a glut of tournaments plagued the New Jersey Men's Open this year, but a new division was added and a great day of paddle was had by all participants and spectators!
