Teams came from all corners of NY State for the 2nd annual NY State Mixed Championship. Upstate teams of Fritz Odenbach / Sandra Odenbach (Rochester) defeated Charlotte Gilet / Chuck Poe (Albany) in one semi while Westchester teams of Michelle and Russ Jellineck defeated Judy and Howard Arden in the other semi. Team O2 continued winning in the finals and took the trophy back to Rochester.

2007 NEW YORK STATE MIXED PLATFORM TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

Westchester County area clubs are pleased to host the Second Annual New York State Mixed Platform Tennis Championship. Teams of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate.

ELIGIBILITY: All entrants must either live in New York or have a New York Club affiliation. Each participant must be a regular ($50) A.P.T.A. member or pay a $20 tournament registration fee.

TIME & PLACE: All matches will be played within a 5 mile radius of Westchester County shore clubs, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th. One player from each team will be notified by telephone on the evening of Thursday, January 6th as to the team's starting time and location.

FORMAT: The draw will be limited to the first 64 teams that enter. Consolation tournaments will be played for 1st, 2nd and round of 16 losers. Weather permitting all entrants will be assured of at least 3 matches. All matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. The A.P.T.A. 12 point tiebreaker will be used throughout.

LUNCH: A free buffet luncheon for all participants will be served on Saturday at a Westchester area club (To be Determined). Lunch will be available for non-playing guests for an additional cost.

Both the Men’s and Women’s locker rooms will be available to all participants.
