Paddle Tennis Tournament Benefits Children’s Village
23rd annual Paddle Tennis Tournament and Auction gets underway October
29 & 30 at the Fox Meadow Tennis Club in Scarsdale. Launched
in 1981 as a means to bring players, local merchants and businesses
together to assist Westchester County’s youth, the Tournament
now supports the Sanctuary, Westchester’s only shelter for

Since 1990 over
$240,000 has been raised for the Children’s Village Westchester
Youth Services programs.
paddle enthusiasts will participate in the 2-day event with individual
participation fees ranging from $50 - $100. In addition to the Tournament,
this event offers a silent auction featuring household items, theater
and sporting event tickets, clothing, and holiday items. Sponsorship
opportunities for courts, favors, food and beverage are also available,
ranging from $100 to $5000.

Village serves over 10,000 children and 2,500 families on an annual
basis. Through its Westchester Youth Services division, the Village
also operates a Street Outreach Program and a Transitional Living
Program for older homeless youth. The Village is best known for
its 150-acre campus in Dobbs Ferry, which provides residential treatment
for 325 neglected, abandoned and abused boys.
