Matches will feature 11-point rally scoring, significantly accelerating the pace of play and ensuring that each point is packed with excitement and drama. With the rally scoring system, every point matters, creating edge-of-your-seat action from first serve to match point. In a first for the sport, each match is engineered to conclude within just 15 minutes, making platform tennis more exciting and engaging for both new fans and seasoned enthusiasts. BLITZRULES:- Scoring is to 11 points, each service is worth one point. First to 11 wins, at 10-10 next point wins. - Server rotates after 2 points. - 2'x3' Target hung 3' off the ground in the middle back screen. Hitting this target is a Winner- Winners are worth 2 points (A winner is defined by opponents unable to touch the ball) Examples: a) a ball bounces back into or over the net. b) a ball hits the back screen and comes back over the net c) a ball hits a player below the chest d) a lob lands in and then bounces out of the court. e) hitting the Blitz Target! Matches should complete in under 15 minutes! With quicker matches Blitz Paddle opens up many possibilities SCRAMBLESBy shortening the length of matches, players will scramble much more frequently and predictably. Teams can/should also mix partners. A poor matchup is no big deal when a match only lasts 15 minutes. KING OF THE HILL With multiple courts, winning teams move up a court when they win and down a court when they lose.you may have more teams than courts, as new teams can be introduced every 15 minutes. POOL PLAYWith every point counting, multiple teams will play everyone. Total cumulation of points wins. Encourages the social aspect and mixing talents to form more balanced teams. OPEN PLAYWhen you have more players than courts allow, this short format allows very quick turnaround, partner changes, and level matching, keeping more people involved.
