Scarsdale, NY Fox Meadow redifines what many would call a member-guest tournament.  With over 25 players being Nationally ranked this tournament should be titled a Pro-Am event.  Dave Ohlmuller is quoted as saying "It's harder to win the FMI than it is the Nationals."  click here for details

The Fox Meadow Invitational (also dubbed the MCI - Mike Cochrane Invitational) has become known as the best member/guest (pro-am) in the country. This years draw was possible the strongest yet.

David Ohlmuller and Jim Borho (#3 seed) defeated Brad "Punxsutawney Phil" Walsh and Jim Kaufman (#2 seed) in straight sets on a beautiful sunny, action-packed day. David Caldwell (future star of paddle) flew in from Baltimore to play in what he KNEW was the highlight of the paddle tourney. Ohlmuller is quoted as saying "It's harder to win the FMI than it is the Nationals." It seems the APTA should take a good look at making this tournament a 3.0 ranked tourney next year.

James Borho manned the bar-b-que all day (in between wins) and flipped amazing black angus burgers and cheeseburgers to the delight of all. The 70 degree day made for exciting paddle, sunburns, and a most refreshing COLD KEG OF BEER.

There were no sprained ankles, but there indeed was lots of FLESH shots as Jim Borho should have worn a flak-jacket (some say straight-jacket) but nonetheless, it made for exciting and fun paddle.
