The inaugural Blue Ridge Women’s was a big hit! Outstanding
paddle, sportsmanship and camaraderie were the hallmarks of this
event held in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. 15 teams from
as far away as Lancaster, Baltimore, Washington and Richmond competed.

Locals
Welby Moon and Joanna Bowen (left) claimed their first-ever
title by defeating the Chevy Chase, Maryland, team of Mary
Jane Parks and Claudia Neal (right). Taylor Bowen started
this tournament to tap into the enthusiasm locally and regionally
that women have for the game.
