Boulder, CO
Will Shafroth, longtime supporter of platform tennis in Colorado, now hopes to become "the best paddle player on Capitol Hill". Concerned about the future of our country and its resources, Will is running for Congress. Please read more about Will Shafroth and his campaign
Will Shafroth is a fourth-generation Coloradan who has devoted his adult life to public service and improving the quality of life throughout Colorado. He has helped craft and pass local, state and national legislation that has protected hundreds of thousands of acres of open land. But the land he’s already protected is just the beginning of the story -- the policies and funding he’s helped put in place will continue to generate revenue for conservation -- protecting even more land. visit www.shafrothforcongress.com for more on Will's Campaign.
When asked about platform tennis Will said, "I still managed to get out on the court 2-3 times a month this past winter, played one tournament, and even stayed healthy". (We missed Will on the National scene the year before due to injury.)
Will says, "I find that paddle is the best way for me to completely forget the rigors of the campaign and focus on the task at hand. It truly refreshes me from the intensity of public speaking, fundraising, and just being on the campaign trail." Will plans to look for a club to join in the Washington, DC area and knows he will need to "find time for better conditioning".
We wish Will well in his campaign and look forward to having a paddle player "in the House"!
